Who is Chartered Accountant

A Chartered Accountant is a person who has successfully completed the Chartered Accountancy course conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) which is an independent body constituted under an Act of Parliament.

Depending on when a person matriculates for the course, he has to undergo either 2 levels of examination (after Graduation) or 3 levels of examination (before Graduation).

The minimum qualifying requirement to accomplish the final level of the course is Graduation plus completion of level 2. Subjects covered are accounts and financial reporting, tax, costing, corporate and business law, management information and control systems, Auditing among others.
